Corrie Scott (University of Ottawa)
Dr. Corrie Scott is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Feminist and Gender Studies (University of Ottawa). Her recent research focuses on the representation of race and its role in the formation of identity and literary discourses in Quebec. Her book on this subject, entitled De Groulx à Laferrière : un parcours de la race dans la littérature québécoise, was published by Éditions XYZ in 2014. Dr. Scott’s research examines the discursive modalities of race and their significance in Quebec texts by situating these questions in an interdisciplinary theoretical framework that integrates critical race theories, feminist theories and queer theories.
